Just thread the longer handle through the short one and slip it over your wrist to wear.  It folds flat so it is great to throw in your suitcase for work trips and holidays. 

Knot bags are traditionally used for carrying small precious items or for daily errands or nights out and embraces the Japanese philosophy of less is more.
